Marcia Previti is a retired architect who has interests in Sculpture, Music, Gardening and Travel.  She was born to Elisabeth Carron Previti - Opera Singer and Marte Previti - Chemical Engineer & Photographer.  She is married to Peter Michael Gumpel - Architect & Watercolorist.  She has one son, Alexander Previti Gumpel - Craftsman &  Outdoorsman, one sister, Lisa Rose - Pastelist and two step children, Nicholas Gumpel - Lawyer and Emily Gumpel Clifton - Film Editor & Cookbook Author.

Ms. Previti is a soprano with the Choral Society of the Hamptons, the premier choral group of the East End and The Chickpeas, an eclectic all-girl vocal ensemble.  She has also been a member of the Oratorio Society of New York and the Brearley Singers of New York. 

The Previti/Gumpel Garden is a frequent highlight of the Garden Conservancy's Open Garden Day Tours as well as the site of the annual Amanda Selwyn Dance Theater's Green Afternoon Dance Performance & Cocktail Reception.
